Summer Reading 2024

It is hard to believe that we are already talking about summer reading, but I wanted to get the list of books to you so that you can begin purchasing them and planning for summer reading.

Incoming 9th Grade (Class of 2028)

Students at TSA will have two books to read over the summer. Everyone will need to read The Hot Zone, however there is a choice for the second book. Students can either read Brain on Fire: my Month of Madness or Educated. These will need to be completed before the first day of school on August 13th.

9th - Required for all: The Hot Zone by Richard Preston
Required choice: Brain on Fire: My Month of Madness by Susannah Cahalan OR Educated by Tara Westover

10th Grade (Class of 2027)

10th Graders will choose one of the following books to read. They will need to have this completed by the first day of school, August 13th.

Before We Were Yours by Lisa Wingate or Sold on a Monday by Kristina McMorris

11th Grade (Class of 2026)

11th Graders will choose one of the following books to read. They will need to have this completed by the first day of school, August 13th.

The Glass Castle by Jannette Walls or Tuesdays with Morrie by Mitch Albom
